A full eye examination including a 3D scan of the macula and optic nerve head. Your appointment time will be 45 minutes allowing time to review the scans and receive detailed advice.
This exam type is the same as the private eye examination and includes the 3D scan, but is part subsidised by the NHS for those in any eligible group including those listed below:
1. Everyone over 60
2. Any age with diabetes or glaucoma
3. Aged 40 or over with a parent, sibling or child with glaucoma
This exam type is part subsidised by the NHS for children or young adults in full-time education. It includes a 3D retinal scan.
The optician will also check a child's 3D and colour vision. It includes initial myopia therapy advice if appropriate.
